Advisory: ‘No Plastic Everyday’ at Dumaguete City public market

The City Government of Dumaguete, through its Public Information Office, announces that starting on June 1 (Friday), everyday thereafter, all buyers and sellers at the public market are enjoined to avoid using plastic bags.

The city asks the public to support the campaign to regulate the use of plastics not only in government establishments but hopefully in all private businesses and institutions.

This is part of its effort to manage our wastes by reducing the volume, which would be a great relief to the city government and the people.

All buyers at the public market are urged to bring re-usable eco-bags, net bags, bayongs, sako bags when going to the market.
