DUMAGUETE CITY (PIA) – The Perpetual Help Community Cooperative (PHCCI) turned over 35 plastic arm chairs to Plaza Central Elementary School in Tanjay City after the flag raising ceremony today.

PHCCI Marketing and Ads Coordinator Maricar Aranas-Vensuelo said the donation was made possible through the approval of PHCCI Board of Directors and the endorsement of Director Profetiza Lim.

The school caught fire on January 18 this year and lost a number of classrooms, chairs, tables, and other facilities for the children.

Plaza Central Elementary School is one of the partner schools of PHCCI in the implementation of the Aflatoun program.

The school is also the first Aflatoun partner school in Tanjay City.

Lim said the cooperative will always extend help especially to partner schools in crisis situation.

She hopes that the donation can help the school and the children enjoy the comfort of learning in school.

Vensuelo said Tanjay Plaza Central School is close to the heart of Dr. Lim since she was once assigned as Division Superintendent-Tanjay Division before she retired from the Department of Education (DepEd).

Schools Division Superintendent Bernardo Ysulan and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Orlando  Gadano both expressed their gratitude to PHCCI for the donation.

The activity was also attended by Division DRRM Coordinator Nestor  Jadraque, Division SHS Focal Person Annabelle Cornelio and representatives from PHCCI, Marketing Manager Cliffordson Lariosa and Tanjay Branch Manager Germelin Rodriguez.
