DUMAGUETE CITY (PIA) – Ten candidates will compete for the Miss Dumaguete 2015 title on November 23 at the Negros Oriental Convention Center.
The ladies who are vying for the crown are Sharon Fuchs, 19, Timmy Julie Calumba, 18, Fe Mavelle Tano, 19, Marie Faustine Sindiong, 19, Jura-Mae Torres, 22, Honelyn Bato, 21, Joan Chin Elegado, 18, Edmerl Abad, 20, Karen Mae Bustos, 19 and Marie Caroline Primicias, 25.
These ladies were presented before the members of the media on Nov. 14 at Robinson’s Place Dumaguete.
During the interview with the press, the candidates talked about their advocacies and shared their opinions on some issues affecting the city that include peace and security, managing city traffic, employment, education and environment.
The members of the local media then voted for the “Darling of the Press” award. The recipient of this award will be announced on the coronation night.
In similar developments, the ten candidates will be presented to the public on the opening of the city fiesta celebration on November 20, 7:00 p.m. at Quezon Park. It will be then followed by the pageant’s talent show.
