NEGROS ORIENTAL (PIA) — Ten local bands from various parts of Oriental and Occidental Negros will perform their original environmental music compositions on stage for the chance to win P100,000.
This Positive Energy Battle of the Bands (BOTB) final night free concert hosted by Energy Development Corporation (EDC) will be held on October 10 at 5:00 p.m. at Ninoy Aquino Freedom Park, Dumaguete City.
Lead vocalists of popular bands Up Dharma Down and Cueshe will be the judges in the grand finals.
Competitors will also perform along with Jett Pangan from the Dawn.
The Crazy Duo from “It’s Showtime’s Funny Juan” contest will open the show.
Likewise, October 10 will be a momentous day for Negros Island Region as EDC and its partner-organizations will launch the first and the biggest forest restoration movement in one island.
Taking off from EDC’s BINHI Greening Legacy program, organizations from the public and private sectors across the island that have banded together to restore Negros’ forest cover will be revealed at the signing ceremony at 10:00 a.m. at Mere Maria Hall, Saint Paul University Dumaguete City.
This will show what positive energy can do to help make a greener Negros through this movement and through the Positive Energy Battle of the Bands (BOTB) Finals Night that will also open Buglasan Festival 2015 in the evening.
