DUMAGUETE CITY (PIA) — Foundation University (FU) has expressed their readiness to accommodate 5,000 senior high school students in 2016 in line with the Department of Education’s K-12 program.
With the newly installed president Victor Vicente “Dean” Sinco of FU, the administration sets the plans for the university’s cutting-edge facilities for an environment conducive to higher learning.
Sinco said aside from upgrading the physical stature of the university, his administration will be releasing the second edition of e-books not only for the K-12 children but also for college students.
While readying for the K-12, FU is completing the construction of some additional elementary classrooms with air condition units.
Sinco said part of the university’s development plan under his administration is to install two free wifi zones in the campus for each students and faculty.
This is for faster, easy, and efficient Internet connection that would help both the students and faculty in their learning and teaching.
The university has also strengthened the use of solar power at the north campus considering that most classrooms will be air-conditioned.
For now, Sinco said the college is coming up with a solar system with 1,600 kilowatt panels for the two school campuses. (rmn/ct/PIA7-Negros Oriental/This article was first published at PIA Website on June 23, 2015)
