DUMAGUETE CITY (PIA) – Foundation University (FU) recently conducted its 2015 Digital Exposition at a mall in Dumaguete City.
The expo, which ran from Feb. 23-15, 2015, showcased the innovative technology presented by the university’s various colleges. This is part of FU’s advocacy to encourage students in all levels to learn useful technological skills that will empower them in the information-technology driven world.
The colleges had put up booths to exhibit the skills they have learned in each of their fields of expertise. The event also served as an opportunity to boost the interest of students and raise their level of awareness on the latest advancements in technology.
Other activities in the expo included fun game events and shortfilm screening at Robinsons Cinema on Feb. 24-25 for all high school seniors from different public and private schools in Negros Oriental.
The highlight of the expo was the turnover of radio handsets to the officers of Dumaguete City Police. Dr. Mira Sinco, university president, led the turnover of the equipment together with Victor Vicente Sinco, university vice president for finance and Dr. Eva Melon, vice president for administration.
Col. James Goforth, Chief of Police of Dumaguete City Police received the radio devices from the officials of the university. The ceremony was witnessed by Engr.
