DUMAGUETE CITY (PIA) — A total of 61 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) were installed by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently in Barangay Luyang, Mabinay and in Barangay San Antonio, Sibulan.
ARBs in Mabinay were installed in a 57-hectare landholding formerly owned by Genaro Goñi, while the 9.5-hectare farm formerly owned by Cabrera Enterprises Properties in Sibulan was awarded to four ARBs.
The ceremonial installations were initiated by Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officers Benjamin Empig and Eliseo Salvo.
During the installation, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer ll Louie Naranjo discussed to the beneficiaries their rights and obligations over the land.
Naranjo felt happy and proud that the land was finally awarded to the beneficiaries.
Sibulan Mayor Emmanuel Diputado witnessed the installation in San Antonio Sibulan.
He said that the Certificate of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) is a symbol of land and industry of the farmers. (rmn/LPP/PIA-NegOr/GMR/DAR)
